Let The Games Begin
The Beaufort County Senior Games - celebrating 13 years - will
be held from November 2nd through November 6th, 2009. This years motivational
speaker for the closing ceremonies on November 6th, at 1 PM
will be Howard J. Rankin B.A., M. Phil., PH.D.
“Never Stop the Challenge – Older, Fitter, Healthier!”
Dr. Rankin is an inspirational educator and author
on the subjects of mind-body medicine,
spirituality, personal change and transformation.
He was the psychologist for the international weight loss
support group “Take Off Pounds Sensibly” (TOPS) from
1996-2004.
Dr. Rankin was a consultant to the World Health
Organization (WHO), the National Institute
of Alcohol and Alcohol Abuse (NIAAA), and the British
Broadcasting Company (BBC). A frequent radio and
television guest, appearing on CNN’s “The View” and
affi liates of all of the major networks. His pioneering
work on self-control was featured on ABC’s “20/20”
news show.
